Late yesterday evening, the death of Graziella Castillo was announced at the age of 47.
Castillo had, in recent years, served as Director of Aġenzija Appoġġ, and was described as a kind-hearted person, always ready to help—something clearly reflected in her work within Appoġġ.
Graziella Castillo was always at the forefront of social work, and was therefore consistently described as a person of great integrity who carried out her duties with the utmost dignity.
Her death was announced by FSWS, the agency which described her as more than a leader, but a source of strength and humanity in a sector that requires such values. FSWS described Castillo as someone who carried a great sense of responsibility and who believed that every person should be listened to, supported, and treated with dignity.
Castillo passed away just two days before what would have been her 48th birthday, on Wednesday, April 8.
